One Big Unpopular Opinion – DmC: Devil May Cry Retrospective & Review
Surrounded by controversy and despised by many, DmC: Devil May Cry is a very divisive game. In this retrospective and review, I speak out on behalf of the countless fans who genuinely love this game, and give my reasons why this game is deserving of praise.
DmC: Devil May Cry is a reboot from Capcom’s popular Devil May Cry series. The game features the series’ signature combat mechanics, but deviates from the Japanese style of storytelling, in favour of a more westernized approach. This is one reason why there was a significant amount of backlash from some of the DMC community.
I take a look at everything this game has to offer (not the DLC) and judge it on it’s own merits, as well as in comparison to the rest of the games in the Devil May Cry series.
